Grant and I launched at Glory Hole 8 AM. A bit windy and definitely got worse as the day went on. I have been working an area for 2 weeks now that is holding bait and multiple large fish actively feeding at the surface but I have not found out what they want. I even brought fly gear out but neglected to try it. Anyways, caught a couple quality fish “upriver” on small spoons.
I saw Speedycop get shot by Leno’s posse this weekend.
I enjoyed it. He tried to shoot Leno in retaliation but was only able to give Jay the finger.

Fished New Melones Saturday solo.
Let’s just say the size of the Rainbows there is up quite a bit. There was an area about 100 yards long FULL of fish like this feeding on the surface.
Took a very nice drive to Healdsburg Sunday for lunch.
BTW, don”t call the above fellow Daniel Boone, he is the other one.
Debra and I hit the city Saturday afternoon with 6 crabpots strapped to the back of the truck. I humped them down the dock in 2 trips. Off to lunch at the ferry building (Market Bar, great burger). We the ran out to Wise and Sons Deli on 24th for sandwich fixings for the crew. Sunday morning found us headed under the bridge in very nice conditions. We dropped our string of 3 rounds and 3 squares running north from Muir Beach. Plenty of company but not like the minefield of buoys I saw last year. After dropping off the pots we ran up to Duxbury reef with a handful of other crabbers killing time. We fished in 24-44 feet and picked up a couple of dozen nice grade of rockfish including a china and cabezon. No lings. A bit of gear lost. Shrimpflys and plastics worked.
We lunched in the lee near Stinson Beach on pastrami sandwiches, pickles, potato salad and slaw. Crew wanted to fish more but I made the call to pull the pots after a 4 hr soak. 30 crab total from 6 pots with a few shorts and females set free. Decent grade and quality.

In September we returned to the earth the ashes of my Niece Stephanie,my Mom Shirley and my Mom’s husband Don at a special cove in Lake Don Pedro. We had ten family members join us for a 3 day houseboat trip, I am blessed to have so many of my immediate family near us here in Norcal.
I had to grow up. SO I am selling DOZENS of lures I collected through the years. Odbballs, one-offs, mechanicals, re-pops and collectibles. Selling all as one lot. Several more boxes not pictured here.
Being on the water for Fleet week/Blue Angels performance is great fun for the crew. However it is another thing entirely for the Captain. Between the wind, tides, closure zone, anchored boats, idiot boat drivers and trying to track the air show it can be nerve wracking. I got a few shots.
