Debra and I arrived in the City Friday evening. After offloading a batch of gear we headed to Millers East Coast West for food for tomorrows crew. Authentic NY style deli on Polk ST, highly recommended. Dinner that night at Soldinis’s in North Beach. Old school North Beach Italian.
We met Ann, Jeremy, Coral, Dalton, Suzy and Henry at Pier 40 Saturday morning. The bait dock guys were talking rockpile, Alcatraz and SF waterfront in tight. The rocks were loaded with schoolie stripers and we put 10 in the box in short order. The kids were not impressed withe the rockin and rollin you get when 50 boats work the rockpile all at once but perservered. Henry and Jeremy were hookin and handin off.
We moved to the drift in front of Alcatraz and Jeremy hit his first keeper halibut. Next up in tight off of St Francis Yacht club where things slowed down. I knew the tide was slacking off but still running so I moved to the South Tower drift where we loaded up on brown rockfish.

We pulled into the docks at Angel Island for lunch.
After lunch we fished the Berkeley Flats and Bay Bridge east of Treasure Island for numerous shorty halis.
Overall a great day on the water!
We caught:
Rockfish
Lingcod
Striper
Sculpin
Lizardfish
Mackerel
