More Halibuts in the Bay

Can’t believe I was home for the Memorial day weekend! Sunday came in wet and rainy.

Debra and I drove to the City Sunday afternoon to spend the night on the Mighty Peridot. Always a good time in SF.

On Monday morning, Randy, his new son-in-law George, and Mike and Henny joined us for a Hali venture. First stop P45 for bait.

We started by the barges despite the fact that everyone ran south. George got us started with a barely legal.

Many scratched baits and a couple of hits and runs. Late morning we headed over to Oyster Point to join the fleet. Fishing there was steady but we had trouble putting keepers on the deck. Mike went with the big bait theory and scored a 10# fish.

I picked up a nice fish after dumping a few. Wind cranked up hard at 1:00 PM a bit higher than the 10 MPH forecast. Great day on the water and fresh Halibut for dinner tonight!
